After graduating from university, Ann Haessel took many classes including courses at the Alberta College of Art and Design. Her artistic journey has encompassed hand embroidery, quilting, and mixed media techniques. She now creates unique, colorful abstract art that consists of several layers of fabric which are sewn, burned and embellished. Ann has had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada, the U.S. and Europe. She is a member of the Alberta Craft Council and is a juried member of the Society of Canadian Artists. Her art appears in many public spaces.
