Janis Kirstein Rigor is an American contemporary artist and writer working primarily with mixed media. Her paintings and collage works juxtapose diverse imagery exploring ideas of emerging fragmentation and reconstruction through fluctuating recognition and realization. She lives in Louisville, Kentucky and has been working as a professional artist for over 30 years. She received an MFA from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has exhibited her work throughout the world.
