Craig Ford is a local artist and Atlanta native. He’s mainly a painter but dabbles in mixed media, incorporating photography from time to time. A graduate of University of Georgia, Craig sees himself as a visual storyteller, taking ordinary objects and putting them into different contexts and discovering completely different meanings and ideas in their combinations. Nostalgic icons or everyday items find a place in my compositions; big vividly colored pieces.
When he is not busy making art, Ford teaches art and design at Young Harris College; and drawing and panting at the Roswell Visual Arts Center.
“In my art, I take ordinary objects and enhance their visual meaning.”
